Christmas is known to be the birth of Jesus Christ who is said to be “the son of God” and it is a Christian’s festival which is celebrated on 25 December every year. It’s one of the most popular festivals worldwide and more than 160 countries celebrate this day.
One of the traditions of Christmas in decorating an oak tree with lights, stars, candles and shiny stuff. The origin of this tradition goes back to the 16th century in Germany then this tradition became more and more popular from 1846, at the time of Queen Victoria.
Other famous traditions of Christmas are Christmas carols and Santa Claus which is known as an old man with red dress and white beard who brings the Christmas gifts. Gifts are generally kept under the Christmas tree to be opened on the Christmas morning.
